A plastic and reconstructive surgeon has opened a new office in the Scinto Corporate Park in Shelton.
The office of Dr. Mark Melendez is at 4 Corporate Drive, Suite 288. A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place Thursday, June 18 from 5-7:30 p.m.
Mayor Mark Lauretti and Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce President Bill Purcell are expected to speak during the grand opening.
Previously, Melendez was sharing office space with some other physicians in the same building, while he was waiting for his new office to be completed.
This new office debut is complemented by his recent academic appointment as an assistant professor at the Quinnipiac University’s Frank H. Netter School of Medicine in North Haven.
In addition to his Shelton office, Melendez also has medical offices in Greenwich and Woodbridge.
Many kinds of surgery
Melendez performs a full-spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery, of the breast, face, hand and body, as well as facial rejuvenation for patients, including fillers.
He completed is fellowship training in microvascular breast reconstruction surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
