FAIRFIELD, CONN. — A ribbon-cutting for the grand opening of Dr. Mark Melendez’s new plastic surgery office in Fairfield is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Officials expected to take part in the ceremony are: Fairfield First Selectman Mike Tetreau; Mark Barnhart, the town’s director of economic development; Democratic state Rep. Juan Candelaria; and Beverly Balaz, president of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

Melendez is married to Dr. Renee Baranin-Melendez, an emergency department physician at Greenwich Hospital. They have two sons, Mark and Matthew, and live in Wilton.

He performs a full spectrum of cosmetic and surgical procedures for the face, hand, breast, and body, including facial rejuvenation (fillers). He also specializes in microvascular breast reconstruction surgery for cancer patients.

He also has offices in Shelton and Greenwich.

A party with hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and conversation will follow the ribbon-cutting.
